Technical Tours

Our goal for the Technical Tours is to “demonstrate how Irish dairy, beef and sheep farmers are using breeding and management information to maximise farm profitability.”

We are offering delegates and accompanying persons the choice of three types of Technical Tours on the afternoon of Thursday 31st May:

• Dairy – visits to two herds near Cork.  One on spring calving seasonal production and the other on a year round production system.
• Beef – visit to two enterprises.  One a suckler beef herd with a beef finishing enterprise and the other a bull breeder.
• Sheep – this tour will leave the conference venue at 11:00am to visit two sheep farms.  One ram breeder & the other a commercial sheep producer.
